In making his American dream a reality, Arnold “Sonny†Canale acquired Lombardi Florist in 1957 where he has been an employee since 1943. Even in the early 1900’s, it was already a successful business. Two years after he bought the company, he married a woman named Russo whence they merged their operations. Forecasting the change of economy in the entry of the new millennium, Sonny adopted the label of Exotic Flowers as its primary signature starting in 1993.
By 1994, Exotic Flowers opened another satellite location at 2 Dartmouth Street in the southern end of Boston. The following year they expanded their services by taking another shop in Route 3A at Cohasset. Not long ago, in 2001, they can be visited at Greenhouse of Faneuil Hall Marketplace. Their original domicile in Roslindale still exists where all the orders and reservations are bridged from there. In time, it remains an entirely family- owned corporation.
